image VENUE - INTRODUCTION

Herein you will find Venue information that can help you to enjoy an excellent days fishing on our stretch of the River Thames at Goring.

The Venue consists of approximately 1½ miles of fishing downstream from Goring lock; a total of 83 pegs for Members. Peg 1 is about 70 yards downstream from the end of Goring Weir's concrete mooring jetty and Peg 86 is located a little over 100 yards downstream from Brunel's railway bridge that is featured in the Venue photograph of peg 78.

Our Venue contains good stocks of Roach, Chub, Dace, Bream, Perch and Pike. There are also several catches of Barbel and Carp reported, along with tales of the-one-that-got-away that tend to outnumber the fish landed because they are large!

FISHING TIMES & BOAT MOORING

The Goring Venue is subject to all the Environmental Agency's statutory closed fishing seasons.

ONLY MEMBERS CAN NIGHT FISH THE VENUE FROM PEGS 1 to 67. Pegs 68 to 86 CAN NOT BE NIGHT FISHED and only members are permitted to fish there from Sunrise to Sunset.

All Angler's must respect the local environment and residents by keeping noise and disturbance to a strict minimum. Leave NO Litter!

**BOAT MOORING IS NOT PERMITTED ALONG OUR VENUE BANK BETWEEN PEGS 1 AND 86.**
